Children’s Mental Health

Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, observed February 9–15, highlights the importance of supporting the emotional well‑being of young people. With one in five children experiencing a mental, emotional, or behavioral disorder each year, and many not receiving needed care. This week encourages early identification, open conversations, and reduced stigma.
Schools, families, and communities play a vital role in recognizing signs of distress and creating supportive environments. By promoting awareness and access to resources, we help children build resilience, thrive academically and socially, and develop the strong mental health foundation they need for a healthy future.
